이번 7월 방송에서는 일본의 유일무이한, 하우스 오브 미즈라히의 오버럴 마더 Koppi Mizrahi를 소개한다. 2009년에 볼룸 씬에 참여한 이래, Koppi는 해외 각종 볼에서 계속 Grand Prize를 타는 것은 물론, 도쿄에서 본인의 Discovery Ball을 10년 이상 주최하거나 아시아의 볼룸 씬과 LGBTQ+ 인권운동에 기여하는 등 폭넓은 활동을 이어가고 있다. 음악적으로는 2012년 MikeQ가 설립한 레이블 Qween Beat에 참여하게 되어, 디제이나 MC로써도 발을 넓히게 된 Koppi는.”Single Bell”, “Wash Your Hands Wash Your Mouth”, 혹은 “EATING IT FROM THE EAST”와 같이 해외 보거들에게는 너무나도 친숙한 곡들을 내게 된다. 이러한 그녀의 다양하고 열정적인 활동 덕분에, 2016년에는 비미국인으로써는 처음으로 볼룸 씬에서 레전드 칭호를 받게 되었다.
For this month’s episode, intoxxy is inviting Legendary Overall Mother Koppi Mizrahi from the International House of Mizrahi.
Since joining the ballroom scene in 2009, Koppi has been winning Grand Prizes in major balls overseas, hosting her own ‘Discovery Ball’ series in Tokyo, and contributing to Asia’s ballroom scene & LGBTQ+ movement. Musically, Koppi joined Qween Beat in 2012, ballroom’s leading record label headed by MikeQ. Since then, her releases like “Single Bell”, “Wash Your Hands Wash Your Mouth” or “EATING IT FROM THE EAST” could be heard from international balls all around the world. For her endless contribution to her community internationally, Koppi became the first ever non-American to get a ‘Legend’ status in the ballroom scene in 2016.
