Boneless Pizzeria’s first guest chef!

This month there are 2 (TWO!!) pizzas on a superstar collab menu, available for a LIMITED TIME! The first is your trusty boneless pizza this time stacked heavy with rap, emo, and hyperpop toppings, and the second is courtesy of special special guest chef AAXSTAR (@aaxstar), loaded with all kinds of lush and gorgeous trance and electronic toppings, foraged fresh from the gardens of soundcloud.

You might wonder – who is this special special guest chef AAXSTAR? He is simply a lovely boneless friend, a serious inspiration, a very swag pizza, tastemaker, and curator, and a next-up Japanese DJ based in Tokyo’s underground rap and electronic scene. He is seriously an incredible chef – the ingredients he discovers are something truly special – this pizza means it when they say aaxstar’s the definition of tapped-in. Like he really digs up some 5 star shit, and that’s a testament to his taste, his ear, his eye, and his knowledge. Very underground, very youthful, incredible rap and electronic, and of course, very internet. Also the way he arranges his toppings are always chef’s kiss. To boot. Down.

He is also the co-founder of KOMA (@komavictim) with Manchester-based Abejisama, a Manchester- and Tokyo-based project under whose umbrella includes a sound project, a club party, and a community radio platform. KOMA is lit. It is so special, unique, both the sound and the branding. There isn’t anything particularly like it.

As for the boneless pizza this month, its taste and topping design places a focus on rap music within the context of hyperpop, the streaming era, and gen z. it highlights young, fresh, new, and noteworthy artists that very clearly lean on inspiration from major underground artists of the past decade, elevating those forebearers of extremely recent history to a timeless status, and then taking those inspirations and expanding them far further in immensely novel and exciting ways. South Korean producer kimj features heavily in a variation of preparation styles as a topping on the boneless pizza, as do Jane Remover, Bladee, midwxst, and Sebii. There is also a major focus on hikikomori behavior – antisocial tastes, not liking people, not wanting to hang out, not wanting to talk, taking it slow, being okay, being a slumdog, etc. A very spiky pizza!
